Description:Shrubs to 3 dm. Flowers pink or rose. 
Habitat:Growing in marsh behind beach. Associated with Cliftonia. Beach dunes with shrubbery of live oaks, Chrysobalanus in open areas, and Uniola paniculata on tops of dunes.
